Music: RIP Pimp C

One half of the Houston (Port Arthur) rap duo UGK, Pimp C, is dead. He was found dead in bed today at an LA hotel. Homicide detectives are looking into the case. He was 33.

Pimp C was the one with the more nasally, last-syllable-drawn-out flow. As the producer, he was responsible for UGK's unique Southern rap-soul beats. This is a big loss for the rap community.

UGK was my 2nd favorite Southern rap group/duo, after Outkast.

My first guess was that he died of an O.D., but if homicide is looking into it, maybe not.
