I saw this heard this song for the first time several months ago, but it took a while to grow on me because I had never heard anything like it before. Apparently a lot of indie bands are starting to show influences of the Beach Boys, among other musical innovators. Pretty rad music video, too.

Nerdtastic: These Augmented Reality iPhone Apps are Getting Nuts!
First, an augmented reality app allowed you to used the iPhone's video and GPS features to easily display the nearest "tubes". I think that's British for trains.
Then, you could peep all the tweets around you. Holy sh*t, you can immerse yourself in a 3D environment where everyone's doing a bunch of boring, mundane stuff!
Now, it appears that a new app will allow you to see inside someone's brain and peruse everything they've sloppily decided to make public.

I have no free time at work. It balls to the wall from the second I walk in the door to the second I walk out. But if I did, I'd be all about TetrisFriends.com.
It's free, online, competitive tetris. There's a bunch of different game modes you can play - 5 player sprint, 2 player battle, 6 player battle, marathon and much more.
You start off at a really amateur ranking and move up to battle better players as your game improves. Eventually, you level off at a ranking with players at your level but your ranking is constantly changing depending on wins, so it never gets too easy or too difficult.
There's a few cool twists and features, too, to add some new elements to the games.
One could spend hours caught up in TetrisFriends.com if one so chose.

TMZ's version of the much-hyped video of LeBron getting dunked on by Xavier's Jordan Crawford is sh*tty, cell phone quality. Here's a better angle of the dunk in HD that ESPN was using.
I honestly don't see why this was such a big story in the first place. I don't think anyone would have given a sh*t if Nike reps hadn't freaked.

Back when the 'nets started going e-viral, this was one of the first clips I saw of a bizarre Japanese game show. Somehow, this is the one Japanese reality show concept that American TV has yet to pick up.

TV: Michael and Michael Have Issues
Comedy Central shows are hit and miss. Some are brilliant and go on for seasons, while others quietly fade away without you even remembering they existed. For this reason, I decided to resist the urge to encourage everyone to watch Michael and Michael Have Issues (Wednesdays, 10:30p/9:30c, Comedy Central) until I at least saw an episode.
Just because someone has a brilliant comedic mind and a history of great stuff, it doesn't necessarily mean their Comedy Central TV show will be a sure fire laugh riot. So I didn't want to hype up the show before I saw it; I've been burned before.
But after having watched the premiere last night, I can gladly say that you should check out Michael and Michael Have Issues.
If you're my age and had good taste in goofy comedy shows as a kid, you probably remember these dudes on the MTV's zany (yes, zany!) sketch show The State. They've done some funny stuff since then. You've seen Michael Ian Black all over VH1 on those Remember the (Decade) shows. And if you're a College Humor fan, you've seen Michael Showalter interview/act and improvise with a bunch of hilarious people (Paul Rudd, Michael Cera, Zach Galifianakis, etc.) on The Michael Showalter Showalter.
Anyway, the show is funny and clever. Peep it, friends. Here's one of the sketches from last night's ep.

Did you know that Salvador Dalì and Walt Disney collaborated for an animated short called Destino? Radical!
They storyboarded it back in 1945. The project was rediscovered in 1999 and subsequently animated. It's been screened at a handful of film festivals worldwide since then and is scheduled for DVD release in 2010. Here's the Wiki entry, for more info.
