Shane said...: I don't see why it can't be real. I know plenty of non-NBA players who can jump high enough to achieve the vertical needed to do this trick. I'm sure a world-class athlete like Kobe has the coordination, timing, and athleticism to do this.

Whether it's smart to is another story - I'm pretty sure his contract has something about his team not having to pay salary if he's injured from stupid stuff like this. Not to mention the possibility of a career-ending injury.; April 11, 2008 at 9:10 PM

What I'm saying is there's no way Reebok would get the okay to go ahead with it. Plus, surely his lawyers and advisors know that he'd be effed if he actually got injured.

Plus, it's shot on a stable tripod so it's that much easier to make it look real. You wouldn't even need to do CG stuff...just some clever editing.
