TV: Return of Stewart and Colbert

Your boy is home sick yet again. I woke up yesterday feeling at about 80% and already in the mindset that I'd be going to back to work today. Then I took a nap.

When I woke up, my right ear was all muffled like there was water in it. As the afternoon went on, it started hurting more and more, and I figured that I probably had an ear infection.

I'd never had an ear infection before, but I'd heard it's pretty brutal. And it was. My mom convinced me to go to an urgent care center to get it taken care of ASAP. By the time I got there, the ringing in my ear was deafening and I thought my head was about to explode.

If you've never had an ear infection, consider yourself lucky. It feels like someone shoved a balloon in your ear and is gradually blowing it up. It was pain like I hadn't felt in a long time.

The doc said, "Whoa! Your ear drum is beet red. I can see why you were in so much pain. It hurts me just to look at it."

Anyway, I would feel bad if I left you high and dry once again, so here come some posts. You owe me, f-cker.

The Daily Show and The Colbert Report return with new episodes tonight. And no writers. Yikes. I'm gonna have to watch just for curiosity's sake.

BTW, have you been watching any of the late night shows? Every other joke is a "without writers" reference. It's quite annoying.
