List/Booze: The 10 Manliest Cocktails (and How to Make Them)
I often find myself at bars wanting something stronger and less filling than beer, but ordering the obligatory Jack and Coke or vodka tonic gets old quick. Well here's a solution: The 10 Manliest Cocktails (and How to Make Them). I can't wait to try the Whiskey Smash. Also, the Zombie sounds delightful.

Music: NEW Sleigh Bells - "Tell 'Em"
Another unique, in-your-face track from Sleigh Bells.
The opening track from Sleigh Bells' upcoming debut album, Treats, coming out May 11th. You can download this track for free at their site, InfinityBells.com.
It punches you in the nose from the get-go. Sounds like a coked-out, rock 'n' roll pep squad.
See my previous posts on their tracks "Ring Ring" and "Crown on the Ground".

Holy sh*t. Here's a way to start your Monday.
BADASS video directed by a French dude named Romain Gavras. Very violent with brief nudity. I was enthralled for the entire nine minutes. The song is awesome too.
If all you know about M.I.A. is "Paper Planes", prepare to have your mind blown. This is CopperCab's worst nightmare.

TV: Look Around You Season 1 Finally Coming to DVD
If you're not familiar with Look Around You, holy sh*t are you missing out. Hilarious.
Now, after years of patiently waiting, fans will be able to get season 1 on DVD. Season 2 is my personal fav, but season 1 is still funnier than most anything you'll see.
It'll feature commentary by Peter Serafinowicz, Robert Popper, Simon Pegg, Matt Stone and Trey Parker, Jonah Hill, Michael Cera, and Tim and Eric, among others.

Per Reddit:Pretty wild that this scenario is so close to what many conspiracy theorists think really happened on 9/11.

Video/TV: Drunken Cast and Crew of Mad Men Sing "Bye Bye Birdie"
"Here's a huge treat for Mad Men fans: Some lovely person has just leaked a thank-you video for creator Matt Weiner made by the cast and crew of Mad Men (apparently at the season-three wrap party? Everyone seems a little loaded!) singing "Bye Bye Birdie," a song that played a big role last season. See Jon Hamm make silly faces behind a (disappointingly lip-synching) January Jones! Watch John Slattery sing in a long red wig! Giggle at the sight of Elisabeth Moss texting in her Peggy Olson costume! And much, much more (even the kids are in it, and there's even a blooper reel!). It's so great we're not even mad at the conspicuous absence of Christina Hendricks and Bryan Batt. See it here first!"

Music: Some Songs I'm Feeling Right Now
Local Natives - "Wide Eyes"
From their debut album, Gorilla Manor. Beautiful vocals. Haunting vibe. Insistant percussion. Just an all-around great song. The first time I heard it, I couldn't get out of my car until it was over. (Also check out "Sun Hands".)
Morning Benders - "Excuses"
This song will make you want to take a special girl to the diner for a chocolate shake, then slow dance with her under the moonlight on a hill overlooking the town. Or something. Pretty throwback to the '50s.
Sleigh Bells - "Ring Ring"
Much less in-your-face that their first single, "Crown on the Ground". That one was an angry beast. This one's a lazy summer.
Middle East - "Blood"
Another ethereal song with pretty vocals. Gradual build.
Nicki Minaj feat. Lil' Wayne - "I Get Crazy"
Nicki Minaj is one of the only female rappers I enjoy listening to. Her delivery is unique and her lyrics can be clever at times. She's fun to listen to because you never know what you're gonna get. Plus she's pretty easy on the eyes. This song's beat is energetic, stripped down and simple, which allows Weezy and Nicki's words to shine. Just ignore Lil' Wayne's "guitar solo".
Travis Porter - "Go Shorty Go"
I know, I know. There's nothing original about this song. And Travis Porter won't be hailed as an expert lyricist anytime soon. But there's just something about this song that attracts me. You can take the boy out of the Dirty South, but you can't take the Dirty South out of the boy.

The Internets: Watch People in Solitary Confinement
To promote its upcoming special, Solitary Confinement, National Geographic put three volunteers (James, Laura and Rick) in solitary confinement. No sunlight, no TV, no contact with the outside world. They put a camera in each 8x8 foot cell so you can watch them at any time. No, you can't see the shower or toilet. But you can see how they try to pass the time and stave off insanity.
Currently, James is laying in bed awake, Laura is trying to teach herself how to juggle, and Rick is drawing.
If you're a voyeur, like myself, you'll probably find this strangely compelling.
